This is a multifaceted, nuanced and emotive piece of melodic doom. It has a way of expanding and growing from slow and emotional to vast and and cavernous when the growls and double bass kick in, to return to Gogo Melone’s mournful voice. And then there is the weeping theramin on “Cage”—That moved me to tears. There is so much depth and nuance. Album of the Year for me.
Favorite track: The Cage (feat. Jon Liedtke).
